Erin Crandon told CBC News Sunday night there were reports of “significant” damage to homes and property, as well as downed trees and power poles. As of late Sunday night, there were no reports of injuries or casualties, Crandon said. The overnight closure of the 7 and 37 freeways ended shortly before 7 a.m. Monday. At the height of the storm, Hydro One reported more than 30,000 customers were without power across Ontario late Sunday night, up from about 4,500, mostly around Tweed, by early Monday morning. The North Tornadoes Project (NTP) and Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) sent teams to those locations on Monday to survey the damage. Two minutes from damage path. Hwy 7 near Actinolite.
