READ MORE: ‘This is a tornado emergency’: How forecasters warn of severe danger Tornado warnings were issued for areas north of Belleville along Highway 7 in the towns of Madoc, Tweed and Actinolite Sunday night. According to the ECCC, the strong storms produced a tornado near Marmora, Madoc and Actinolite. Tornado warnings were also issued around Frontenac Provincial Park north of Kingston, later extended to communities such as Gananoque and Brockville as the storms pushed eastward. The Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP) and ECCC sent teams to the Marmora-Madoc-Actinolite area on Monday to survey the damage. “A long damage trail of approximately 60 kilometers was found due to at least one tornado and blast winds,” the ECCC reports. The damage has been preliminarily rated as a high tech EF-1 with maximum wind speed near 175 km/h. An overturned trailer was reported in Rockdale with multiple injuries. Extensive tree damage, including areas with very large mature trees. Houses damaged with partial roof removal. The barns were completely destroyed. Water lines and poles down, including roads. Roads including the 7 Freeway blocked by downed trees and power lines.
